Melissa Munro
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Joining MTIC, Melissa’s brings leadership skills and a long-standing history of the delivery of Nuclear Medicine diagnostics and therapy with precision. Her patient centred care approach to the profession is admired by all colleagues and students/interns that she has mentored.
After completing a Bachelors of Medical Science majoring in Microbiology, Melissa went on to study a Post Graduate Masters in Medical Radiations – Nuclear Medicine which she completed in 2010. One of the first cohorts of NMTs to undergo additional specialized training to be able to perform diagnostic CTs, she has always been driven to expand her knowledge and abilities to deliver the very highest quality of care. During her 12 years at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melissa gained extensive experience in Nuclear medicine, PET/CT, and PRRT.
At MTIC, Melissa is most looking forward to involvement in research, and using her skills to improve workflow, develop protocols and help advance the therapy program.
